Roy relocated to the UK in late 2021, but remains as a door tenant at 7GBC. He is currently working as an in-house consultant gaining experience in medical regulation, clinical negligence and Coronial matters in the UK.

He remain available on his 7GBC email and by teleconference to provide legal advice and opinions on matters of medical negligence and health law.

In addition to his qualifications as a barrister, Roy holds an MBBS and is a registered medical practitioner. As barrister in NSW, Roy specialised in medical negligence, professional conduct and disciplinary matters involving health practitioners.

Prior to coming to the bar, Roy had a long career as a senior medical manager at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital Sydney. He is also legal advisor to the RPA Human Ethics Research Committee. Roy has significant experience advising on complex matter of health law, and matters at the interface of law, clinical care, and medical ethics.
