BACKGROUND & EXPERIENCE

Elizabeth has appeared and advised generally in criminal matters, including WorkCover prosecutions. She has also practiced in the civil jurisdiction including Fair Work Australia and the NSW Industrial Relations Commission.

Elizabeth began her legal career as a solicitor at Ashurst (then Blake Dawson Waldron) where her work in commercial litigation included involvement in the HIH Royal Commission.
As a senior solicitor, Elizabeth worked for the Commonwealth Director of Public Prosecutions for over 8 years. She prosecuted a broad range of matters including complex, high profile terrorism trials, criminal assets confiscation, taxation, bankruptcy, fraud and large commercial matters such as market manipulation.

Previously, Elizabeth taught history at the tertiary and secondary level. She continues to enjoy teaching part time at the University of Sydney Law School.
